The Government of India has Taken up the INDUS Child
Labour Project for Jalna District. This will help to seek a
future without Child Labour and to give every child his
childhood and education.
INDUS is a technical cooperation project jointly funded by
the Government of India and the Government of the
United States of America. It was developed within the
framework of the Joint Statement on Enhanced Indo-US
Cooperation on Elimination of Child Labour. The project
is a collaborative effort to provide program support in a
coordinated manner to ongoing efforts undertaken by the
Government of India, through the NCLPs, towards a
progressively Child Labour free country.
The INDUS Child Labour Project started functioning in
Jalna District from 01/11/2004, through the National Child
Labour Project ( NCLP ), under the chairmanship of the
Collector.
